Pinna records any call app on its own, with no bot in the call. Then Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor and your other agents can search every meeting through its built-in MCP server, on your Mac.
Pinna 1.0.0 is coming soon. Requires macOS 26 or later. Agent access is part of Pro, with a 7-day trial on every install.

search_meetingsget_notespinna://open?id=3F2A…&t=712Pinna notices when a call app opens your microphone, waits for the other side to speak, and keeps the meeting from just before they did. When the call ends, it stops. Nothing to remember, and no bot in the call.
Zoom opens your microphone. Pinna listens. Nothing is kept yet.
The others speak. Recording starts, and the pill offers Not Now for 10 seconds. No answer, and it keeps recording.
The call goes quiet. Pinna asks if you are still in a meeting, and stops when nobody answers or Zoom quits.
Nobody joined? The files go to the Trash, with Undo.
Rather decide yourself? Record Now starts at once, and both smart settings can be turned off.
Works with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet in any browser, FaceTime and iPhone calls, WhatsApp, Slack, Discord and Webex. Dictation tools and mic tools such as Krisp are left out; you can edit the list.
Pinna has an MCP server built in. Connect the agents you already use from Settings in one step, then ask about any meeting: what you promised, what was decided, what is still open. Every answer can link to the second it was said.
What did I promise in the Veldkamp call, and what is still open?

In Thursday's Veldkamp rollout call you promised to send the final user list by Friday morning . It decides when the Noordhaven team can be trained. Still open: who signs off the Atlas rollout date .
pinna://open?id=3F2A…&t=712 opens the meeting in Pinna and plays it from 11:52.
Any other agent can read the plain Markdown and JSON files in your recordings folder.
On your Mac. Agents reach Pinna through a small bridge and a socket on this Mac. No port is opened, and your meetings never pass through a server of ours.
Honest about the cloud. What an agent reads goes to that agent's AI provider, as with anything else you give it. A local agent, such as a model in LM Studio, keeps it all on your Mac.
You stay in charge. An activity log on this Mac shows every search and read through Pinna's MCP server. Files an agent opens straight from your folder are not in it. Hide a meeting, or every meeting from an app.
Read, not act. Agents can start or stop a recording only if you allow it. It is off by default.
Part of Pro. Agent access comes with Pro, and every install starts with a 7-day Pro trial.

Every call is saved three ways: you, them, and the mix. The files line up to the sample because one Core Audio aggregate device records them, with no driver to install.

Crash-safe. If your Mac crashes mid-call, the recording comes back at the next launch.
No silent gaps. Pinna tells you right away when audio stops reaching the files.
No bot. Nobody in the call sees a new participant. Pinna records on your Mac.
By default the words never leave your Mac. Pick the model that suits your Mac in Settings, or bring your own key for a cloud engine.
A model for your Mac. Download Whisper builds or NVIDIA Parakeet in Settings. Each shows a badge for how well it fits your Mac, its quality in Dutch and English, and how long an hour-long meeting takes. Pause a download, test the speed on this Mac, or delete a model to free the space.
Languages. Whisper, Parakeet and the cloud engines detect the spoken language. Apple on-device speech cannot: it uses the language you pick, or else the language of your last transcript.
Intel Macs. Pinna uses Apple on-device speech, or a cloud engine with your key. Built-in Whisper and Parakeet need Apple silicon.
Echo left out. Sound from your speakers that reaches your microphone stays out of the transcript.
Cloud only with your OK. Before a cloud engine or notes model gets anything, Pinna says what is sent, to which company, where it is processed, how long they keep it and whether they train on it, and waits for your OK.
Per company, per kind of data. Pinna asks each company once for each kind of data: the audio for a transcript, the transcript text for notes. It asks the same way when you pick an engine or model from the Library.
A fallback on this Mac. If a cloud engine fails, Pinna makes the transcript on this Mac instead and tells you why. You can turn this off.
After each call: a summary, key points, decisions, action items and open questions. Each one links to the second it was said.
Them Good. We keep the old system running in parallel for one month.

Apple Intelligence on Apple silicon, or a local model server: Ollama, LM Studio, Jan, GPT4All, Msty.
Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, OpenRouter or Groq. A cloud model writes notes only when you pick one.
Search across titles, notes and transcripts in the Library or the menu. Play from any line.

Links ask first. A pinna:// link that would start a recording or an import always asks.
Plain files you own. ~/Documents/Pinna by default. Transcripts and notes can live in an Obsidian vault or iCloud Drive.

meeting.md and the MCP server
Macs with macOS 26 or later. Pinna is a universal app for Apple silicon and Intel. Built-in Whisper and Parakeet need Apple silicon; on Intel, Pinna uses Apple on-device speech, and cloud engines work with your key. Notes on Intel use a local model server such as Ollama, or a cloud model with your key; Apple Intelligence needs Apple silicon.
No. Pinna records on your Mac, from the audio your call app already plays and your microphone. Nobody else in the call sees a new participant.
Not unless you choose a cloud engine or cloud notes model and add your own key. Pinna first shows what is sent, to whom and how long they keep it, and asks for your OK. If you connect an AI agent, what it reads goes to that agent's provider.
Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Codex, ChatGPT desktop, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Zed, LM Studio, Gemini CLI, Hermes, Goose and Raycast connect in one step. Any other agent can read the plain files in your recordings folder.
Recording, local transcripts and the Library are free. Pro is a one-time purchase, $9.99 at launch, then $14.99, with a 7-day trial on every install. A license for two Macs is available too.
Choose Deactivate in the License window, or free the Mac in the customer portal, then enter your key on the new one. See Support.
